Maui Gelato and Waffles

Great spot to grab dairy-free refreshing desserts! They have lots of flavors to choose from and provided samples - which we really appreciated. I went with the pineapple and island roots. Both were great, smooth and delicious... The island roots in particular was a great smooth/creamy consistency. Easy location to pop into from Charlie Young Beach (across the street). Small shared free parking lot.

Very good! Be advised they said it takes 15 minutes to make a waffle but it's worth the wait! We had the Banana nutella and the peanut butter banana chip. Both were fabulous. Definitely one waffle is good for two people

I vowed that our family would eat shaved ice every day of our 8 day trip to Kihei, Maui. We tried 5 different spots but came back to this place 3 times. The portions were good and the abundance of cream topper was best we found. The Gelato is a great touch with plenty of options On our last night we barely made it before closing, arriving at 8:45. After watching the customer before us get shaved ice, my son and I were standing waiting at the shaved ice counter while my wife and daughter were at the Gelato counter. The worker left the shaved ice counter, went to ask my wife and daughter what they would like. The other worker was cleaning nearby and looked at us without saying a word or with any effort to ask what we would like to order. Then the first worker, upon seeing us still standing at the shaved ice counter called out from across the store, in a gruff and matter of fact manner, "I'm not making any more shaved ice tonight. That was the last one." I looked at my watch...8:50. I get it, long day, store closes at 9 and you want to get out and head home. But I also have owned retail businesses and it not only left a major sour taste in my mouth on our last evening on Maui, but it made me wonder if the owner wants his employees turning away customers before closing time in such an abrupt in your face manner. I hope that gal has a better day tomorrow and that her boss can help improve the situation for future customers.

So ono. I had the mango and berry. I love their dairy free options. The only way my visit could’ve been better was for them to have the Island Roots on the menu. It’s my go to and a flavor you’re not gonna find anywhere else.

This place is a vibe! I went to for the first time last week and it was buzzing with people coming and going for their evening sweet fix. There are many delicious flavors to choose from and I love that they offer samples so you can try a few before deciding. I liked the cookie cream. I got the small cup with two flavors and it was the prefect amount for a post dinner treat! I thought the chalk wall adds a fun and creative touch. Definitely makes it memorable. There is limited seating indoors, 2 small booth tables with more seating available outdoors in front of the shop. I can see why this spot is such a favorite! Will be back for sure! Oh my goodness! So GOOD! The gelato flavors are unique and delicious. We also tried the waffle sampler with a variety of toppings. Hands down the best waffle I've ever had. Pineapple cinnamon topping: OMG! And staff is nice as well.
